Craig Wright, the Australian man who claimed to have invented bitcoin, is being sued for more than $10bn ($7.2bn) by the family of his former business partner. It’s unclear whether Craig, Dave and or both created bitcoin, the lawsuit says. “It is undeniable, however, that Craig and Dave were involved in bitcoin from its inception, and that they both accumulated a vast wealth of bitcoins from 2009 through 2013.”

According to Motherboard, either Wright and Kleiman were involved in the creation of Bitcoin, or were there moments after the platform was created. The lawsuit contends that the value of the contentious Bitcoin, and any associated intellectual property, is worth anything between $5 billion and $10 billion.Wright himself is a colorful figure in the Bitcoin community, who made a name for himself when he “outed” himself as Nakamoto in 2016.
